I designed the "heat reflector fireplace grate" about 10 years ago, through the years it has proven to be very effective and efficient.

     I had two design features in mind, One was the ease of getting the fire started and the other was to get the maximum amount of heat into a room with minimum loss up the chimney.

    To accomplish this I made it adjustable; low position for starting a fire and for regular heat output. High position for better utilization of the hot embers / coals to reflect maximum heat out into the room!
